Includes everything you need to turn your Ducati 450 into a dual sport. Uses a Baja Designs XL40 or XLpro headlight + a push on/off button for the Dim Switch, a complete harness that fits along the OEM harness with connectors and labels for every part, and all other accessories - handlebar switch, horn, blinkers, run/ brake light with license plate bracket and backing plate, banjo bolt pressure switch, and all hardware. The harness installs directly onto the battery and has 1 in-line fuse for simplicity and protection. All accessories have connectors installed for ease of use and ability to disassemble for maintenance or repairs.
Complete Dual Sport Kit Includes:
- Complete headlight assembly - Baja Designs light with connector, new OEM front number plate w/ laser cut opening, aluminum mounting brackets, and headlight visor (ALL ASSEMBLED).
- Complete wire harness - connects to the battery terminals and the handlebar switch will control the headlight on/ off, blinkers, and horn.
- Handlebar Switch w/ LED indicators for headlight on (Blue) and individual blinker indicators for right and left (Green). Has connectors for main harness, headlight, and horn.
- Hella Motorcycle Horn - mounts to open 5mm threaded hole in frame on Left side behind shroud.
- Acerbis run/ brake light and license plate bracket w/ integrated license plate light.
- LED blinkers (orange) - front and rear. Rear blinkers have rubber boots over ends to protect from rocks, dirt, debris.
- Rear brake banjo bolt pressure switch.
*A new rear fender is included with blinkers and Acerbis run/ brake light & license plate bracket installed and ready to replace the oem fender.
HANDLEBAR SWITCH - used to turn the Headlight On/ Off. To use the Baja Designs DIM Feature (on alll XL series lights) use the included push button switch, it will dim 20%. The blinkers WILL work when the headlight is ON. The blinkers WILL NOT work when the headlight is OFF. The horn button will work at ALL times.
This kit requires some disassembly to install the harness, use of various tools to install the headlight bracket, banjo bolt pressure switch, etc. and a basic mechanical understanding - if you are not comfortable, we can install/ build the bike for you or recommend a certified mechanic do the work.
**We recommend moving the OEM Map Switch to the right side of the handlebar and put the headlight/ blinker/ horn handlebar switch on the LEFT side near the grip for accessibility of the light controls.
***When you turn the bike off, the headlight will remain on if you do not turn it off with the switch. If you leave the headlight on for an extended period, you will drain the battery down and the bike will not be able to start.
